Our ministry has traditionally focused on rural communities around Lilongwe and Blantyre, including areas that receive fewer visiting mission teams. Teams visit schools, share the Gospel, partner with local churches, and host evening showings of the Jesus Film in rural villages. In 2019, Circle J Ministries expanded its work into northern Malawi, including the Jenda and Mzuzu areas and communities among the Ngoni people. During these trips, we helped plant churches, establish Bible clubs in local schools, and build relationships with pastors serving the region. One of the most lasting parts of this ministry has been providing self-contained Jesus Film equipment in the local Tumbuka language. Since 2019, Circle J Ministries has supplied six sets of equipment, allowing Malawian pastors to continue showing the film and sharing the Gospel throughout the year—even when our teams are not in the country. Circle J Ministries also works to strengthen local churches through discipleship training and ministry resources. In partnership with First Baptist Church of Rusk and Baptist churches in Malawi, we developed a follow-up resource for pastors to use with people who respond during Jesus Film outreach.
